This logo project was really fun to complete, not only did it need to take inspiration from one of my favourite times of history but there wasn’t really any restrictions on what the client wanted.
Twisted Retro is a company who take original electronic pieces such as, radios and TVs, and bring them right back into 21st Century. They are also designing original pieces to based on mid-century furniture design but to fit into a modern home.
Looking a signage, colours, fonts and shapes used in the 50-70s I was able to come up with different compositions and colour ways that would suit both the ‘retro’ and the 21st century market. After playing around with a few different ideas I settled on 3 preferred options. When presenting logo options to a clients I always show the logo on its own and with it used in an application.

The different types of application the logo maybe used in is taken into consideration when designing the logo too. If the logo is always going to be seen relatively small I wouldn’t use hairlines or very small details. This is also where alternate logo options come in, as some logos may include a tagline, but when used in small scale this wouldn’t be legible so I would create an alternate logo where the tagline and smaller details were removed.
